We’re Back!
And by “we,” I mean “I.” Nonetheless, PMO is back on the air! Er, net. Whatever.
In any case, it took awhile since being ousted from the old server, but thanks to the efforts of LanceHeart, we’ve got things running pretty well again. A few things are changed– for example, I no longer have the ability to post full Feature articles in the manner which I did before without making the list of links on the sidebar grow to ridiculous lengths. Therefore, they have to be integrated with the front page posts. But I’ll do what I can to keep the front page from becoming a giant wall of text. Moreso than it already is, anyway. But it’s a blog, what do you want?
Also, we have a newer version of WordPress here; now I can post videos without scrambling the front page like an egg!
For those that have missed PMO, I’ve added a bunch of regular posts from my LiveJournal here; nothing super-personal or whiny or anything like that, just the usual fun stuff you’ve come to expect.
In addition, the exclusivity clause on some of my articles for Kombo is up, and now you can find a few new articles here. For example, we have:
- An Evening at Video Games Live – A case of culture clash, but a cool one.
- The Top 6 Most American Video Game Characters, which I wrote knowing that my picks would piss people off.
- 15 Years of Wario, part 1 and part 2: My masterpiece.
These are all posted in the archive under the same date as they went live on Kombo, to better help keep them organized and from flooding the front page.
The Wario feature, however, is incomplete; there is a third part which came out more recently, in which I interviewed the voice of Wario and Waluigi (among others), Charles Martinet. For now, you can find the MP3 and transcript over at Kombo.
Finally, I just want to say that it’s good to be back, but again, things aren’t quite what they used to be. As it stands, the old nightly updates are still gone, but I’m going to try and post fairly regularly here with some fun and interesting things. I hope you’ll stick around!
