This, That, and the Other Thing
Bleh, feel so busy lately. Going to try and work this into something of a routine again, though I half-wonder if I shouldn’t wait until after Christmas first, seeing as I go out of town next week. Aah, hell with it.
Some good news on my end: I’ve received a lot of good Christmas gifts this year, including No More Heroes (very fun), one of the three guides I was after (The Official Nintendo Player’s Guide, of which I was mistaken; no art, but I still love all the stuff in it), a pair of Ace Attorney games (now I can catch up!), and a number of DVDs. Sadly, I don’t know the identity of the person who got me the guide; hopefully I find out soon.
Anyway, I’m not here to brag, but to share a bit of news. The first bit is sad, as GoNintendo reports that Maddie Blaustein, who voiced Meowth in Pokemon, among other roles for 4Kids, recently passed away in her sleep. Condolences to her family, and thanks to her for the memories. Meowth, that’s right!
Better news that I wanted to wait on before reporting: On Monday, Nintendo launched their North American version of Club Nintendo . However, it seems that migrating accounts, logging in, getting coins, and other things has been running a bit wonky, hence the delay. Hopefully, it’s begun to get straightened out.
IGN has an article about it here. So far, I’m not seeing anything especially enticing; I already have the Game & Watch Collection, so I can save my coins there. The Hanafuda card deck, however, looks nice, and I may consider that… after a little eBay comparison shopping, of course.
