Same Quest, Different Goals

IGN posted the above image on their Facebook page, and I couldn’t help but think that no, my goal was to find out what Princess Toadstool really looked like. I mean, she couldn’t actually look like the simple question mark that the instruction manual implied, right?

Though that would explain all of the question mark blocks scattered throughout her kingdom, wouldn’t it?

Of course, I did eventually succeed in that quest, and what a mistake that turned out to be. Holy bad pixel art, Mario! I mean, granted, I suppose no one looked stellar, and the Bros., Toad, and the Princess would see a huge improvement in Super Mario Bros. 2, but…

On a related note: You know your dad is cool when you go to click “Like” on an image like the one above, only to find out he did it first!
