Nadia & David Ruin Video Games – Goof Troop (And Some Bonkers, Too)
Step right up, come on in, here’s where the fun begins… again!
We’ve played The Disney Afternoon Collection from Digital Eclipse before upon its initial release — a release, I will add, that for reasons never explained, never hit a Nintendo platform despite all the games contained therein originating on the Nintendo Entertainment System. That is, until now.
And it’s not just a straight re-release, either. No, this one gives you incentive to double-dip — exclusive incentive, in the form of two additional games!
One is heralded as a 2-player classic of the Super NES era, and one of the earliest games designed by none other than Shinji Mikami of Resident Evil fame himself, Goof Troop!
The other is Bonkers.
Now, I played a little bit of Goof Troop a long, long time ago. But Nadia never has, and neither of us has even touched Bonkers.
So join us, shall you? And let’s see how bad we can hyuk this one up.
I forgot to mention this at the end, but next time on “Nadia & David Ruin Video Games,” we’re looking to play what should be the newly-released Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park! We’ve already got a save file going, but kind of fell off partway through, so we’re going to see if the new content provided here (such as Koopalings and Rosalina) will be enough to reinvigorate our interest and see it through to the end!
But the next time we come at you, probably in about two weeks, it’s “Mega Man Mayhem” time! We didn’t finish Mega Man 9 last time, but we’re getting so close, we can practically smell Dr. Wily’s aftershave! (Don’t envy us.) Hopefully we can finish things out and prove Dr. Light’s innocence so he can finish making X and whatever all happens after that. Good times ahoy!
To keep abreast of new and upcoming livestreams, we usually announce them about a day ahead of time on Twitter and Bluesky!
You can find our past livestreams over on the Nyteworks YouTube channel, where we’ve played all sorts of things, ranging from numerous episodes of Super Mario RPG for Nintendo Switch to Sonic x Shadow Generations (including the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie DLC), Little Kitty, Big City, Contra: Operation Galuga, our annual Castlevania marathons, and so, so much more!
Plus, all our Mega Man-related streams can be found on The Mega Man Network’s YouTube channel!
If you like what we’re doing, please consider chipping in a few bucks our way on Patreon, Ko-fi, or even just something via PayPal. Maybe then we can do something about our current seating situation, and get something that allows Nadia to play longer and/or more frequently! Every little bit helps!
