Sort of an inside joke. Someone said that if you cut off the bottom quarter of the picture, Samus looks pregnant. Things escalated from there, until we wound up with this: For some reason, I totally roffled. LBD "Nytetrayn"
Just a thought.

Konami ought to do more online games. Or more online versions of their old games. Arcade Contra on XBox Live Arcade is a good start, I think I heard it has online co-op. If not, it should. Expand that to other Contras, throw in Gradius, and then maybe go a bit further...

Overheard regarding Mega Man Zero: "I love any game that puts all this overpowering content within your grasp then calls you a pussy for using it." Has a point. LBD "Nytetrayn"

Long before there was Charles Marinet, Bob Hoskins, Walker Boone, or Captain Lou, Mario was a silent movie star. LBD "Nytetrayn"

This should be one of Mario's alternate costumes: Service Mario! Just think, instead of fireballs or pills, he can throw screwdrivers at you, and instead of a cape of prescription sheet, he can smack weapons with his toolbox! I know I'd play as him. LBD "Nytetrayn"

Doc wrote:Bullshit. The other day on NPR I heard that China was catching up to the US in oil consumption. "THE HELL THEY ARE," I thought, and I'll be damned if I didn't floor it the rest of the way home. --- AbsoluteZero wrote:I'm in America, and Willy most certainly...

So, now The Wizard is coming out on DVD. Hope the retail for it is decent. Be nice if it came with a bonus of that mini "Pocket Power" magazine they gave out in theaters when it came out. Nostalgia at its finest. I remember wanting my parents to take me to see that...

Shopping for a Batmobile. And if you liked Super Mario Bros. Z episode 1, then you might like episode 2, now with more fighting(but don't worry, it still keeps the Mario tone). The action part of this series kicks off with this episode, and hopefully the fight scenes...

The PlayStation 3 is supposed to be able to support seven controllers, right? So why, then, does it only feature 4 indicator lights on the controller itself? Also, weren't there supposed to be two HDMI connections? Sounds like there has been some scaling back......
4chan’s influence.
May 20, 2006 | Commentary, Video Games
So there's this meme in 4chan wherein they took a panel of a comic, and removed whatever it was that these scientists(?) are supposed to be seeing, thereby letting creative types fill in the blanks. Me, I had to go a few steps further. Also, for no reason at all...

That's pretty much what David Reeves, the CEO for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, had to say yesterday. "We have built up a certain brand equity over time since the launch of PlayStation in 1995 and PS2 in 2000 that the first five million are going to buy it,...

New Super Mario Bros.: Did you notice…?
May 17, 2006 | Commentary, Video Games
If you come across a red Koopa Troopa(they're easier to keep an eye on) or a Goomba in New Super Mario Bros., keep an eye on them. They dance to the music on certain beats. Gotta love the small touches in a game. Also, the Power-Ups seem to do it, too; a Magic...

So, in a recent LJ post, I was told: You think Reggie deserves more because you like Nintendo. That's really all, if you liked Sony, you'd like the junk Kutaragi is spouting too. *shrug* I think they're all dicks, it's their job to be. Quite fair, and I agree to some...

One thing woekitten and I agree on is that we really do feel bad for the fate which befell Gunpei Yokoi, during Yamauchi's administration at Nintendo. The man came up with all manner of creations in R&D1, including Metroid, Kid Icarus, and Game & Watch. Before...

So, a couple of weeks ago, I brought up here the news of a new Scooby-Doo cartoon that involved a transforming Mystery Machine and nanotech Scooby. Well, it sorta came up again in #megaman-network, when we were discussing anime and how it gets cut here and stuff:...

I'm probably the only guy who appreciates the man, but anyway, here he is, discussing DOAX2 and Ninja Gaiden 2 and such. IGN: What are the gifts like this time around? Last time you gave them flowers, or they might have liked a particular flower or pattern. What are...

And in a way, I'm regretful of that. Because it means no new game for the series was announced. Well, except for the arcade original being on XBox Live Arcade. So I guess this is a celebration of that. Anyway, in the interest of sharing, and because someone FINALLY...
