Talking Nintendo Comics with the Power Button Podcast
Recently, I made my triumphant return to the Power Button podcast, but rather than talk about cartoons based on video games, I had the opportunity to chat about comics based on video games. Completely different!
This is actually going to be something of a recurring theme for a period, with more episodes to be recorded soon (complete with additional special guests), but this time out, I join with Mr. Matthew Green and Mr. Blake Grundman to focus exclusively on Nintendo-based comics. Specifically, the Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Captain N: The Game Master, Metroid, Punch-Out!!, and Super Mario Land-oriented Game Boy titles which made up Valiant’s Nintendo Comics System, as well as the Super Mario Adventures, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Star Fox, and Super Metroid comics which ran in Nintendo Power magazine over the course of a few years. Good timing, too, as I’ve spoken of both in recent.
Oh, and I get to briefly talk a bit about my own help-wanted work, Super Mario Bros. in Neo Bowser City, too.
As before, you can find this episode on Stitcher and iTunes, or just listen to it on the Press The Buttons itself, where you’ll find additional links/show notes which allow you to see some of the things we discussed for yourself in more detail.
So please, give it a listen, and feel free to leave comments! And stay tuned, because there is more to come!
