Nadia & David Ruin Video Games – Strider (2014)
It’s the final episode of “Nadia & David Ruin Video Games” for 2025, and for this one, we’re finally doing one I’ve been eager to get to ever since we started doing this thing: 2014’s Strider, a search-action/”Metroidvania” take on the classic Capcom franchise by Double Helix prior to their getting absorbed into the amorphous blob that is Amazon.
Me? I love it. Nadia? Well, she’s never played before, but she’s into them ‘vanias, so will this appeal to her? Well, that’s the hope!
After this, we’re looking to close out the year on Saturday, December 20th with “Nadia & David’s Mega Man Mayhem”, where we’ll be jumping 10 years into the future from where we left off and 20 years into the past with Mega Man 9!
To keep abreast of new and upcoming livestreams, we usually announce them about a day ahead of time on Twitter and Bluesky!
You can find our past livestreams over on the Nyteworks YouTube channel, where we’ve played all sorts of things, ranging from numerous episodes of Super Mario RPG for Nintendo Switch to Sonic x Shadow Generations (including the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie DLC), Little Kitty, Big City, Contra: Operation Galuga, our annual Castlevania marathons, and so, so much more!
Plus, all our Mega Man-related streams can be found on The Mega Man Network’s YouTube channel!
If you like what we’re doing, please consider chipping in a few bucks our way on Patreon, Ko-fi, or even just something via PayPal. Maybe then we can do something about our current seating situation, and get something that allows Nadia to play longer and/or more frequently! Every little bit helps!
